Day 7: The opportunity to worship

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”

Thankfulness

Day 3: I am thankful for God’s steadfast love.

There is nothing that can match the love of the Lord. We can compare it our relationships in order to gain greater understanding, but no love on earth is as faithful and true as the love of the Lord.

Building Trust in God

God is like a strong bridge, only no catastrophe or scheme of man can bring Him down. He's proven Himself to be sturdy and reliable over and over again. Because we can't see Him physically and because His plan doesn't always make sense, we forget or we simply will not trust Him. We need to train our minds and hearts to Trust in the Lord, but how?

Trust: Facing the Fiery Furnace

Where do you place your trust? It is easy to say we trust in the Lord, but much harder to live it. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego trusted in the God they could not see in the face of a fire they could see.

The Sky Cries Out

The testimony of the earth and the rest of the universe isn't limited to God's wisdom and power. The earth and skies also testify of God's faithfulness and consistency. When you begin to doubt that God is a faithful, orderly, unchanging God, look up! Look at the sky! The sun testifies. The moon testifies. The stars testify.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

We don't often use the term "lament." The word is defined as "a passionate expression of grief or sorrow." Lamentations is a book in the Bible written by the prophet Jeremiah. Jeremiah suffered greatly as a prophet of God due to the wickedness of the Israelites of his day. Lamentations is an outcry of grief. When you feel despondent, do you trust God's faithfulness, or are you tempted to doubt?
