For it is not an enemy who taunts me— then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me— then I could hide from him. You’re Not As Alone as You Think

The Love of our Heavenly Father
This is part 2 of the series "God's love is the Greatest Love." For the previous post, click here. One of the greatest tragedies for a young child is to grow up without a good father. Recounting God’s gifts
The Thanksgiving holiday fast approaches here in the United States. Thanksgiving recipes abound, turkeys are running for cover, and plans are being made in earnest for that fourth Thursday of November. Why “going through the motions” is necessary at times
There is a popular song that plays occasionally on the Christian radio station called "The Motions." I had to look up the lyrics because I could only remember the chorus (even after I looked them up, they made little sense to me). Hope is rising (Day 18 of the #encourage marathon)
Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall! My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says… Continue reading Hope is rising (Day 18 of the #encourage marathon)
Day 29: The Bible
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings to search it out...
Day 28: Hope
The situation is desperate. The men quake with fear but stand ready to fight. The stench of death surrounds them. Despair is palpable.
Day 7: The opportunity to worship
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”
