Purposeful Preparation: January 2023 Scripture Writing Plan

Do you make preparations for different events? For instance, have you ever prepared to…

Teach a class?

Interview a candidate or be interviewed?

Stock up for a natural disaster?

Meet someone new?

Welcome a new baby?

Get married?

Resist illness?

Are you someone who prefers to prepare…

…or do you wing it?

When it comes to following Jesus, do you prepare for the spiritual battle you face each day? Do you prepare to share (and defend) your faith? Are you prepared to meet God?

As we enter 2023, let’s focus on making diligent preparations in our service and in our hearts. This month’s plan has scriptures encouraging us to prepare as well as examples of others who made preparations for the Lord.

Scripture writing (copying out verses from the scriptures) is an excellent way to meditate on the word of God. I notice when I physically write out these verses on paper, I catch more detail and think more deeply about the passage. Also, check out the daily posts on Facebook and Instagram @elihuscorner.

I hope you’ll join me this month in focusing on purposeful preparation!

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed it! With the holidays we just didn’t get that far this month, but I will pass it along to the young lady who puts them together. 😊
